Hello, I'm Etienne Tovimafa
I'm an AI Engineer specializing in agentic AI systems, conversational agents, and production ML. I build intelligent systems that autonomously solve complex problems—from multi-agent orchestration to document understanding pipelines.
Currently building AI-powered features for language learning, training custom models, and mentoring developers on AI best practices.
My work focuses on building intelligent agents that can reason, plan, and act—not just respond to prompts, but break down complex tasks, use tools, maintain context across conversations, and orchestrate multiple specialized models to achieve real-world goals.
I've built production systems ranging from autonomous document processing agents that extract structured data from millions of files, to conversational agents that understand user intent and adapt recommendations in real-time, to multi-agent systems where specialized agents collaborate to solve business problems.
Before focusing on agentic AI, I spent years building classical ML systems: customer churn prediction models, clustering algorithms for market segmentation, toxicity detection for content moderation, and OCR pipelines for document digitization. This foundation gives me a practical perspective on when to use simple ML versus when complex agent architectures are warranted.
I believe the future of AI isn't just larger models—it's smarter systems. Systems that can break down problems, use the right tools, verify their own outputs, and learn from feedback. That's what I'm building.
